何でも相談できること。

そして、いつもの薬も、その先生にまとめて診てもらうこと。

そうすれば、小さな体の変化にも気づきやすくなります。

必要なときには専門医につなぎ、治療が終わればまた日常の診療を引き継ぐ。

一人の医師があなた全体を見守り、必要に応じて専門医とつながる。

それが、私の考える「総合診療かかりつけ医」です。

 

The most important qualification for a primary care physician is just one thing:

Someone you can talk to about anything.

And whenever possible, have that same doctor manage your regular medications as well.

When one doctor follows your health over time, even small changes in your condition are more likely to be noticed.

When specialized care is needed, that doctor can refer you to the right specialist. And once the specialist’s treatment is complete, your everyday care returns to that same trusted physician.

One doctor who sees you as a whole person and works closely with specialists whenever necessary.

That is my vision of a comprehensive primary care physician.

ここでいう『かかりつけ医』とは、何でも相談でき、いつもの薬もまとめて診てくれる、一番最初に受診する医師のことです。私が考える「総合診療かかりつけ医」を指します。
